Digitization Project Underway In July 2010, staff and volunteers at the The Three Lakes Historical Museum began the process of digitizing the historical society's archival holdings in an effort to better preserve our community's history. This project will be a multi-year process and updates will be posted here. Digital records will be able to be sent via e-mail to people conducting research on topics related to the history of Three Lakes. Researchers can also continue to visit the museum and have access to our archives in the CCC Building. To date, the following collections have been digitized and are available to the public. Please contact the museum if you wish to view the digitized documents.
Armed Forces Our newest exhibit, "Three Lakes Answers the Call" opened on July 2nd, 2011. The exhibit is located in the Walter and Doris Goldsworthy Exhibit Hall. The exhibit features photographs of veterans from Three Lakes as well as artifacts from World War I to the present conflicts in the Middle East and tells the story of how citizens from the Three Lakes area supported one another during times of trial and crisis, both at home and in places of conflict overseas.
New Exhibit Planned:
The historical society is in the beginning phases of planning an exhibit featuring the Three Lakes Aqua Devils Ski Team and information is needed from past and present members of the club. Please contact the museum if you have information or artifacts that you would be willing to donate or loan to the development of this exhibit.
